Duty Doctor

Job Purpose:

 

  • To attend duties as per time schedule and attend meetings without fail.

  • To attend OPD’s as per timings, supervise OPD staff and direct patients to concerned  consultant strictly as per prescribed OPD schedule.

  • During non OPD hours cold cases should be treated on OPD basis and called for follow up

  • for consultant’s opinion as & when necessary.

  • Supervise the taking & handing over charge of duties by duty doctors and take corrective steps if necessary and submit a report to the Medical director about developments on a daily basis without fail.

  • Maintain a diary for rounds and to note down the changes /addition made in the treatment plan and carry out the instructions of consultants promptly and report back to them.

  • To inform the concerned Consultant regarding emergency cases/new admissions.

  • If patient /relative need information regarding patient’s prognosis ,further plan of management ,diagnosis, financial  aspects , the Primary consultant should be approached for the same.

  • To handle MLC’s as per protocol efficiently with proper documentation and inform concerned police station.

  •  To ensure that the management of patient is carried out smoothly in a well-coordinated manner and attend the meetings without fail.

 

 

 

Skills/Qualifications: BAMS/BHMS registered doctor with a minimum of 1 year clinical experience.

Dialysis Technician

Purpose: Responsible to manage and maintain dialysis unit.

 

Role:

  • Sets up and operates hemodialysis machine to provide dialysis treatment for patients with kidney failure.

  • Attaches dialyzer and tubing to machine to assemble for use. Mixes dialysate according to formula.

  • Primes dialyzer with saline or heparinized solution to prepare machine for use.

  • Transport patient to dialysis room and positions patient on lounge chair at hemodialysis machine.

  • Records patient’s pre-dialysis and post-dialysis weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, and respiration rate.

  • Cleans area of access (fistula, graft, or catheter) using antiseptic solution. Connects hemodialysis machine to access in patient’s forearm or catheter site to start blood circulating through dialyzer.

  • Inspects equipment settings, including pressures, conductivity (proportion of chemicals to water), and temperature to ensure conformance to safety standards.

  • Initiate basic CPR measures in the event of cardiac and/or pulmonary arrest and respond to emergency situations related to dialysis treatment.

 

Skills/Qualifications: Diploma in Dialysis Technology with 1+ years of experience.

Staff Nurse – Ward,ICU,OT,NICU,MICU

The Staff nurse is responsible for the complete nursing care of the patient assigned to her. The following duties would be performed as the situation warrants

 

 

A.  General Patient Care:

     Assistance and instructions to patient and their relations.

     Bathing patients including daily care of mouth, nails and pressure points.

     Four hourly or more frequent attentions to pressure points.

     Giving and removing of bed pans and urine bottles.

     Giving and removing of hot water bottle.

     Bed making.

     Feeding of patients

 

 

B.  Nursing Care:

     Administration of medicine.

     Recording of medicines & injection given.

     Taking and charting T.P.R & BP

     Rounds with doctor.

 

 

C.   Ward Management:

     Handing over and taking charge of shift.

     Keeping the ward clean and tidy.

     Preparation of surgical supplies, bandage, splint.

     Routine care and cleaning of dressing trolleys, cupboards, apparatus, etc.

     Care of clean and soiled linens.

     Disinfections of linen, beds, floor and bed pans.

 

 

Qualifications

     Bachelor of Science in Nursing or General Nursing and Midwifery preferred with 1+ year of experience or fresher

Nursing Superintendent

Responsibilities:

        Assigns, supervises, guides and instructs nursing staff in providing comprehensive nursing services including accurate documentation according to individual skills and with available resources.

     Supervises activities of ground staff and plans training.

     Imparts discipline among the nursing staff and other support services.

     Ensure safety of patients, visitors, nursing staff and health care team members.

     Anticipate staffing requirements and plan shift duties as per patient (client) needs/demands.

     Effective problem solving skills and ability to make corrections. follows instructions.

     Ensure essential supplies (consumables, drugs, oxygen and linen) are maintained at required stock levels in each working area (ward). .

     Plan manpower and medical requirements to participate in health programs as and when announced by the State / Central Government Health Department.

     Conduct weekly, monthly or quarterly staff meetings. Encourage channels for open communication.

 

Skills/Qualifications:

 

1.  M.Sc Nursing / B.Sc Nursing / P.C.B.Sc Nursing / GNM.

2.  Knowledge of laws and regulations governing general professional nursing practices.

3.  Skill in leadership, supervisory practices and principles and maintaining effective working relationships through team work.

4.  Skill in both verbal and written communication.

5.  NABH accreditation related knowledge is desired.

Obstetrician and Gynecologist

Purpose:

Provide medical care related to pregnancy or childbirth. Diagnose, treat, and help

prevent diseases of women, particularly those affecting the reproductive system. May also provide general medical care to women and children.

Duties:

     Collect and record patient information, such as medical histories, reports, and examination results.

     Prescribe or administer therapy, medication, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.

     Analyze records, reports, test results, or examination information to diagnose medical condition of patient.

     Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.

     Refer patient to medical specialist or other practitioner when necessary.

     Care for and treat women during prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods.

     Monitor patients' conditions and progress and re-evaluate treatments as necessary

     Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.

     Perform caesarean sections or other surgical procedures as needed to preserve patients' health and deliver babies safely.

Pediatricians

Purpose:

Diagnose, treat, and help prevent diseases in and injuries and track their patients’ growth to adulthood. Focus is on infants, children, and teenagers health below the age of 18.

Duties

     Examine children regularly to assess their growth and development.

     Examine patients or order, perform and interpret diagnostic tests to obtain information on medical condition and determine diagnosis.

     Plan and execute medical care programs to aid in the mental and physical growth and development of children and adolescents.

     Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury in infants and children.

     Advise patients, parents or guardians and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.

     Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients and parents or guardians.

     Monitor patients' condition and progress and re-evaluate treatments as necessary.

     Operate on patients to remove, repair, or improve functioning of diseased or injured body parts and systems.

     Treat children who have minor illnesses, acute and chronic health problems, and growth and development concerns.

     Refer patient to medical specialist or other practitioner when necessary.
